About the Website
Welcome to engineersnotebook.com—a personal space where I document the lessons, insights, and everyday experiences I encounter in my engineering journey.
With over 15 years of hands-on work in the process industries, my career has taken me through maintenance, operations, project planning, and management. Along the way, I’ve come to appreciate that much of what we learn on the job—those small but important takeaways—rarely makes it into textbooks or formal training. That’s what inspired me to start this site.
This isn’t meant to be a cutting-edge engineering portal or a comprehensive technical library. Rather, it’s a simple, honest effort to capture and share the things I’m learning—day by day, task by task. Think of it as a digital notebook where I reflect on problems I’ve solved, methods that worked (and those that didn’t), and practical knowledge that might help someone else in a similar role.
I know there are already plenty of engineering resources out there. What I offer here is more personal and grounded—shaped entirely by the knowledge and information I’ve needed to perform my own job roles in the field. The topics I cover are drawn from real experiences and day-to-day tasks, not from a curriculum or content strategy. My hope is that by sharing these notes, others—whether just starting out or well into their careers—might find a few practical takeaways, avoid some common pitfalls, or simply feel a bit more connected in the shared challenges we face as engineers.
This is my first attempt at building a website, and it is just the beginning. I plan to continue expanding the site over time, adding new topics and refining existing ones as I come across insights worth sharing. My goal is to steadily build a notebook of the topics I come across, capturing the lessons and insights I encounter as my professional journey progresses.
Thanks for stopping by, and feel free to explore or reach out.
